John C. Schafer
President and Chief Executive Officer

John C. Schafer cumulates over 30 years experience in the field of diagnostics, along with an excellent track record in management and growth of high technology diagnostics companies. He holds a BA in Biology and Chemistry from Carthage College (1972) and has advanced coursework in medical technology from St. Luke’s School of Medicine, health care administration from Central Michigan University, and finance from Boston University. Before joining DiagnoCure, Mr. Schafer led a Montreal based biosensor company with target applications in biodefense, medical diagnostics and immunodiagnostics. Prior to that, as President and CEO of Boston Medical Technologies, he led the introduction of an important new diagnostic instrument for physician treating patients with diabetic autonomic neuropathy. During his 14 years at Baxter International, Mr. Schafer held key sales, marketing and operational positions prior to being named president and general manager of several Baxter diagnostic divisions.
Mr. Schafer spent three years as a Vice President of business development in the life Science division of $6 billion consulting firm CAP-Gemini. He is the past Director of numerous life sciences companies and has received numerous awards as a leading biotech entrepreneur. Mr. Schafer has been President and CEO of DiagnoCure since August 23, 2006.
Jean-François Bureau, CFA
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Jean-François Bureau is a Chartered Financial Analyst who holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from Laval University, and a Master in Finance from Laval and York Universities. He has nearly twenty years of experience in the North American and European financial markets. From 2004 to 2008, Mr. Bureau was Vice President Credit - Specialized Products at National Bank of Canada, where he was responsible for credit adjudication and led the implementation of credit strategies. Prior to that, he held executive finance positions at a number of companies, notably in the telecommunication sector. Mr. Bureau’s experience in the North American capital market began within Le Groupe Vidéotron Ltée, as Vice President and Financing Director where he raised over US$400 million for U.S. expansion and led major M&A projects. Mr. Bureau joined DiagnoCure in January 2008 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Dr Yves Fradet, M.D., FRCS(c)
Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Yves Fradet is a co-founder of the Company. He graduated from Medical School at Laval University in 1976 and is member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada since 1981. He has been full professor of surgery/urology at Laval University since 1992 and he is the chairman of the department of surgery since 2000. He is also Director, Urology Services, and Director of the Experimental Uro-Oncology Laboratory at the CHUQ – Hotel-Dieu de Québec. Dr. Fradet studied at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York from 1981 to 1983, where he sub-specialized in urologic oncology. He is a member of several national and international associations and was the first Canadian member of the Urology Research Society. This society is limited to 100 members from all around the world admitted by invitation from the most recognized researchers in urology. He serves as consultant for numerous national and international organizations and he is a frequent invited speaker around the world. He was the founding President of the Canadian Urological Oncology Group, which conducts clinical trials in the field of genito-urinary cancers in Canada. He has published over 180 articles and more than 300 abstracts.
Paule De Blois, MBA
Vice President, Corporate Affairs

Paule De Blois holds a Bachelor of Political Science from Concordia University (1985), a certificate in Marketing from Université du Québec à Montréal (1997) and an MBA in Strategy from McGill University (2005). She cumulates over 20 years of experience in management and consulting. Before joining DiagnoCure, Mrs De Blois has been Manager, Administration (1985-1995) and Manager, Marketing (1995-1998) at two large insurance companies, and Senior Consultant at Aon Consulting (1998-2000) and at Mercer HR Consulting (2000-2005), where she advised several pharmaceutical companies on their organizational issues. She joined DiagnoCure in January 2005 and is currently Vice President, Corporate Affairs.
Richard Gauthier, MBA
Vice President, Business Development

Richard Gauthier brings to the Company over twenty years of broad pharmaceutical/biotechnology/research experience. From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Gauthier was Vice President, Corporate Development for Avance Pharma, a biotech start-up. From 1996 to 2001, he was Associate Director, Corporate Development at BioChem Pharma. Mr. Gauthier’s industry experience, which includes finance, sales and marketing and business development, began with Sterling Winthrop (Canada) and continued at ICN Pharmaceuticals’ Canadian division. His education includes B.Sc. and MBA degrees from McGill University. Mr. Gauthier joined the Company in May 2006 and he serves as Vice President, Business Development.
Timothy J. Holzer, Ph.D.
Vice President, R&D and Production

Dr. Timothy Holzer is a senior R&D management professional with over twenty years of experience in evaluating, designing, performing, and managing scientific discovery research and commercial product development on cross-disciplinary fronts, including operational (numerous diagnostic and therapeutics companies), venture capital (Consulting Venture Partner), and academic (Whitehead Institute for Medical Research, University of Illinois College of Medicine). He holds a B.A. in Psychology (1973) from the University of Minnesota, a M.A. in Biology/Microbiology (1976) from the Mankato State University, and a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology (1983) from the University of Illinois. Dr. Holzer has managed cross-functional teams (over 20 teams), integrating biology, chemistry, and engineering to achieve successful delivery of commercial products and platform technologies. He has broad scientific and management experience with numerous established life science companies, including Abbott Laboratories and Centocor (now part of J&J), and emerging ones, including Accelerated Admetrics, CompuCyte, and Aprogenex. At Abbott, he developed HIV-1 and HIV-2, and HTLV 1, HCV, blood screening assays as well as other diagnostic assays that are on the market. At Centocor, he developed a series of tumor marker assays (Elecsys – CA-125, CA-15.3, CA-19.9, CA-72.4). He joined DiagnoCure in July 2005 as Vice President, R&D and Production.
Phillip Wells
Vice President, Marketing and National Sales
Phillip Wells holds a Bachelor from the College of Letters and Science, at the University of California, Davis. He cumulates 30 years of experience in marketing in the global healthcare sector. Mr. Wells started his career in 1978 at Aventis, formerly Hoechst Marion Roussel, where he held different positions in business development and participated in successful product launches. He then joined Becton Dickinson and Company in 1998, as Market Manager, where he developed professional key relationships with opinion leaders. From 1999-2006, he was Director, Managed Care at Prometheus Laboratories in San Diego, California. He was responsible for the strategic development and implementation of professional marketing and managed markets programs designed to support brands. While at Prometheus, Phil Wells developed models to evaluate the relative accuracy and costs of alternative diagnostic testing reimbursement. In 2006-2007, he was Director, Customer Marketing at CV Therapeutics in Palo Alto, California where he created strategic marketing activities and developed reimbursement strategies. Phil Wells joined DiagnoCure in 2007 as Senior Director, Reimbursement. He was appointed as Vice President, Marketing and National Sales in June 2008.
